Call 601-663-1467 for more information, or to schedule an assessment.
Neshoba General Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is dedicated to providing the highest quality of treatment by using patient-centered care approaches in the group and individual therapy setting. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals is essential to developing and coordinating a plan of care that addresses the patient’s physical and mental health symptoms.
Studies show that approximately 80% of older adults have at least one chronic medical condition, and over 60% have multiple diagnoses. Older adults who suffer from chronic illness are significantly more likely to experience depressive symptoms. If depression is left untreated, it negatively impacts the medical condition, often resulting in more complications, exacerbated symptoms, and poor prognosis (WHO, 2016).
