Patient Access Clerk

Job Description: Employee will interview and register patients in the computer; secure complete and accurate patient and billing information; obtain proper signatures on registration documents; become certified with Medicaid; preregister all outpatients; verify insurance coverage; refer self-pay patients to a Financial Counselor; and other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Skills in typing and proficient basic computer skills

Patient Account Representative

Job Description: Employee will be responsible for billing and follow up on all types of insurance claims.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or higher education
  • Flexibility to cross train in all areas of the Financial Services Department
  • Good communication skills - written and oral
  • Knowledge of remittance advice interpretation, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and medical insurance terminology preferred
