General
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, our leadership team, and the entire Neshoba General family, we extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Kenneth Posey.
Mr. Posey devoted many years of faithful service to healthcare, leaving a legacy defined by exceptional leadership, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the communities he served. Throughout his distinguished career, he consistently demonstrated a passion for strengthening rural healthcare and ensuring quality care for patients across Mississippi.
In addition to his dedicated service to Neshoba General, Mr. Posey served as Chief Executive Officer of Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs, Mississippi, where his leadership made a lasting impact. He also served on the Mississippi Hospital Association Board of Governors, including serving as Chairman, where he helped shape healthcare policy and advocate for hospitals throughout our state.
Following the retirement of Mr. Marvin Paige in 2012, Mr. Posey accepted an appointment with the Neshoba General Board of Trustees. He faithfully served our hospital with distinction and was elected Chairman of the Board for two terms, serving in 2020 and 2024. During his tenure, he provided thoughtful leadership, sound guidance, and invaluable insight that strengthened our organization and helped position Neshoba General for continued success.
Mr. Posey believed deeply in the mission of community healthcare, and his wisdom, professionalism, and servant leadership earned the respect of everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His contributions to Neshoba General and to healthcare across Mississippi will continue to benefit our patients and our community for years to come.
Mr. Posey will be missed, but his legacy of faithful service, visionary leadership, and dedication to improving healthcare will endure. We are profoundly grateful for the time, talent, and leadership he so generously shared with Neshoba General and the people of our community.
